Ecosapiens drop drove over 1.5M organic impressions, 5,000+ entries, and 4.7K pieces of organic content.
Hey it's Adam 👋 one of the co-founders of Drops. I'm going to break down how we were able to drive this growth, and how you can also launch a viral campaign.
Let's get into it.
THE BIG IDEA
Ecosapiens is the leading climate rewards platform. By blending art and technology, they make it easy, transparent and social to make a difference in the fight against climate change.
To promote Cyber’s mainnet launch they wanted to drive as much engagement as they could. Their core KPIs were for users to mint their NFT and boost their followers/engagement.
HOW DID WE DO IT
We had a very quick turnaround from campaign idea to live launch to fit their timeline.
We helped them with the game design and deployment of their creative assets so the campaign felt native to their brand experience.
The first viral mechanic we used was we wanted their launch tweet to go viral.
We think of this as the flagship piece of content that will be shared, liked, and drive attention in the algorithm.
Users were able to earn points by liking, replying, and retweeting this launch tweet.
This helps their launch go viral in the Twitter algorithm and starts the viral spread and social signal to the algorithm.
One of the other goals was to grow Ecosapiens Twitter following.
Users were given points in the drop by following their account on Twitter.
While followers feels like a vanity metric for many companies, it's also a very important signal to your customers, investors, and team. For many marketers, it's also a KPI the team tracks and judges their work performance on. Instead of biting your nails hoping a tweet goes viral, Drops is able to ensure your following will grow.
We were able to generate 3,000+ Twitter followers for them through this tactic.
Our Drop also incentivized UGC content which resulted in 4.7K UGC posts and 1.5M organic impressions.
This organic content can be used on your landing pages, in marketing materials, and makes companies feel like they have taken over Twitter when it feels like everyone is talking about your brand.
Their most important metric was NFTs minted for their $CYBER airdrop.
We generated 1,000+ mints to their Cybersapien NFT collection.
The last viral mechanic we used was a referral system where users get points for referring their friends. Our system works where users also get a % of the points the users they refer in so they aim to refer high-quality people.
What's interesting about this is 3.8K of the entries to this drop came through referrals. Meaning, your customers are your best marketers. This is the viral spread effect of users inviting their friends.
